Drifting conditions determine how good each trip. Tons of throwbacks but plenty of nice 3 to 5 pounders in the mix. Fishing mostly in deeper water, around 60 feet, and some lunker size Seabass, up to 5 pounds, mixed in.
Todays pool winner was Jermaine Potter Trenton, NJ with a 7 pound 10 ounce Fluke (not in July monthly)
Limits recently
Alex Pilewski up to 5 pounds
Eric Lebrun limit to 5 lbs
Ed Nolan Manasquan, NJ limit to 6 pounds
Carson Wendall Bristol, Pa limit to 7 pounds
7.6 pounds still leads the monthly pool but a number of fish bigger have been caught the past two weeks they just have not been entered
Bucktailers still producing best but rental rods are doing well also especially since we use Gulp baits on the rentals.
4 or 5 in chartreuse swim mullet (Gulps) have been red hot either on a hook or a small spro jig
