08/16/16 The good fluking continues!! Caught the change of tide on the fluke grounds this morning and found the fluke in a chewing mood!! Very good fishing once the current started and for much of the morning until the strong southerly wind came up and killed the drift completely a little after noon. The lack of movement killed our bite but by then we already had a nice catch of keepers in the coolers. A number of guys ended up with four keepers each and on down. Mike Schmidt, Cranford, NJ, ended up with four very nice fish and also tied for the pool. Tom Hollywood, Jr., Staten Island, NY, outfished his dad today with more keepers but it was Tom Sr., who tied for the pool with his good friend Mike. An overall GOOD day of catching and keepers while the bite lasted! We are fishing the ocean every day that the weather allows. Back at it tomorrow. See you in the morning.
