1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

Due to the computer problem that wiped out my column at the last moment, there was only time to rewrite a portion of it. Bob Matthews reported from Fisherman's Den in Belmar Marina that blackfishing is good in the inlet, while some kingfish and winter flounder are providing action for anglers casting from the docks. He's also happy with the improvement in striper fishing in the rivers and surf. Point Pleasant Canal continues to produce great numbers of blackfish, though the vast majority are shorts. A strong NW wind is forecast for Frday. That's bad news for those going offshore, but fine for surfcasting -- and just what's needed to knock down the big swell.
