SAT) Today we had our regulars out for an open boat Tog trip from Brooklyn and it was tough. We fished different areas and depths and could not get a good bite. One or two drops had some real quality units and then some had very little life or just shorts. We did manage some nice keepers but several 15 inch fish had to go back to we return to N.J. Anyway that is the way the sinker bounces once in a while.
(SUN) We ran a open boat Tog trip today and after yesterday’s tough trip, we changed up the game plan to a different area and it paid off. We spread the anchors out and started to pick right away with keepers and shorts. The fish came in shots with a few nice Sea Bass as well. By noon the conditions fell apart and could not lay. Due to the conditions we ran to the north to try to sit with the current but it was just a little better. We did start to pick at nice fish till the end of the day, that extra inch in N.Y hurts but another two weeks it will be all good.
