This morning, we began catching by two stripers over 25 lbs just north of our inlet before heading to Monmouth Beach where a few more were caught. We then went fishing off the Highlands bridge and caught 6 keepers on a drift. The fish came breaking on top and sometimes we were working off of readings. We had a small crowd of 18 today and it is very windy, but we are catching stripers and blues, some small, some jumbo! If it wasn’t so windy, we would be wrecking the fish. We ended the day with a couple dozen stripers, three of which were over 25 lbs and one was about 30 lbs, along with some blues both small and jumbo! Overall, with the weather conditions and how fast we were drifting, we still ended up with a good catch.
