1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

July 5th, 2016

Due to the holiday weekend, the office was closed so I did not send out any fishing reports. Here is a recap of the last several days.

Over the weekend fishing was very slow in the morning and afternoon until Sunday afternoon, where we picked away at some fish. Most were throwbacks with a couple of keeper sea bass. Overall, it was decent action but not much was kept.

Today, we fished north of shark river inlet with good results. Fishing was pretty dull in the morning until the tide started to move. The blues came up on top milling on the surface with some splashing and chasing bait. At times, there were nice readings paved along the bottom. Numerous anglers were able to catch their limit today with fish ranging from 2-5 lbs. We’ll be right back at it tomorrow, along with some nice weather, so come on down!

Sailing daily for stripers and blues from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and every afternoon for fluke and sea bass from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., weather permitting.
