The Ocean Explorer from Belmar reported that there were lots of shorts today, with some keepers mixed in. The Big Mohawk from that port only noted they had "good" blackfishing.  The Fishermen from Atlantic Highlands was scheduled to start striper fishing today, but there was no report. At Seaside Park, Betty & Nick's reported lots of school bass being caught in Barnegat Bay on paddle tail lures in white and chartreuse.
