1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

Shore party boats had no trouble relocating the quantities of bluefish they had before the storm despite strong northwest winds. The Jamaica from Brielle quickly loaded up with blues from 6 to 16 pounds on jigs and Crocs. Limits were filled, and many blues released, but there were no stripers among them. The Golden Eagle from Belmar had a similar report. Capt. Dave De Gennaro trolled in 65-foot depths off the Seaside piers on Sunday with his Hi Flier from Barnegat to put Bob Danyluk of Flemington into a personal-best 38-pound striper that hit a Mojo. Grumpy's Tackle in Seaside Park reports continued good bluefishing, especially with bucktails in the inlet and bunker in the surf. A 22.8-pound striper also hit bunker in the surf yesterday. With the local surf still being off-color before the NW wind got strong enough, I fished a 4-inch Tsunami Shad in Point Pleasant Canal to release school stripers of 19 and 25 inches this morning.
