Mark Roy of Warren had the surprise of his local fishing life while trolling a Mo-jo in Raritan Bay when something very big piled on in the back of the bay. He wasn't fooled into thinking that it might be a record striper, but it was fighting deep like a shark. The 49-inch fish was something he'd never seen before, so he put it in the live well of his Release Me and ran back to Raritan Marina in Hazlet where the black drum was weighed at 52 pounds before Roy revived it for the release at Great Gun Lighthouse.    There weren't many entries during the first two days of the South Jersey Marina Shark Tournament in Cape May. Nicara weighed a 310-pound mako to take the lead Thursday, and Shady Lady had a 202-pound blue shark Friday. There have been several makos weighed today, with the biggest being a 283-pounder on Seakeeper. The scales are open until 7:30, and I'll have a full report on that contest tomorrow. The Golden Eagle from Belmar reported a good shot of  1-to-3-pound bluefish followed by a pick the rest of the trip. Capt. Ron Santee found fluke in many areas today, though dogfish were a problem in deeper waters. There were a few limits on the Fishermen from Atlantic Highlands.  The pool winner was just under 7 pounds, and hit a 6-inch pink Gulp.
