7/21/17: The last week of July is almost here! Most all of our fishing reports are on our Facebook page along with the pics. The last few weeks have been slow fishing for fluke and sea bass. We definitely see an increase in the catch when we have a drift. In order for us to catch fluke, we need the boat to cover an area of the fluke grounds. We have to go to them, they don't come to us. The days when there is no drift, we will stay around structure to target sea bass and fluke. There have been some nice sea bass caught lately and they make a very tasty meal. The sea robins have been eating us out of bait every day, and if you get a nice-size one, don't be afraid to ask the mate to clean it for you and try it. They make great fish tacos! There has been plenty of action to keep you busy and attentive to your rod.

The fluke action will improve with the fishing conditions. A lot of 3- to 5-lbers have been landed in the last few weeks, some days we land 2 or 3 keepers and other days 4 to 6 keepers, and other days more. Our top fish is 7.75 lbs and last week we had a 6.65-pounder. The fish are there and when they decide to bite, I hope you are there too!

We will be running the two 4-hour trips through August, on Sept 1, we will switch back to the one 6-hour trip for the last 5 days of the fluke season. Let's all have a wonderful summer, sea you at sea.
