Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 30

The weatherman got us again. We all watched the marine weather forecast and some of you called me Tuesday night to see if we were going to fish today. It was still blowing northeast last night and the forecast was for gust to 30 knots today so I figured we would not be fishing. Well the weatherman was wrong again. We went to the boat this morning and it was breezy but no 30 knots. We did go fishing with a few people and it was ok. The ocean was too rough so we fished in Sandy Hook Bay. On the morning trip we picked at the shorts and caught some keepers. As the morning went on the weather got nicer. On the afternoon trip the weather was great and again we picked at the shorts and caught some keepers. It was a nice day for fishing and everyone enjoyed the day on the water. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The fluke season is almost over (Tuesday Sept 5 last day Sept 6 starts porgies) and the weather is looking good for the next few days so come make a trip. Maybe get the kids out before they go back to school. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
