THURSDAY) This am was opening day in NY for togs and we ran an open boat. The fishing was a pick with nice quality fish coming up with short action along with some jumbo Sea Bass. The guys finished with 2 to 4 keepers a man, all fish were caught on green and asian crabs. We caught fish on bait rigs and jigs.

(friday) Today we ran another open boat Tog trip and the fishing was very tough for us. We tried several different areas and depths, it just did not matter for us. In certain areas the Sea Bass were so thick there was no way to even catch a Tog there. One spot had a few keeper Tog and shorts and were all caught on jigs, probably should’ve never left that slow death pick.

(SAT) We ran a split charter today and the fishing was much better today for us. I told the guys we are going to an area where we must sit and build up the life and that is excatly what we did. We picked and plucked away all day with a blast at the tide change. The jigs were doing better for most of the day to the South wind came up and had to go to the bait rigs. All of the fish were quality in the 3 to 6 lb class with some nice size Sea Bass too. The guys finished up with 20 ny keepers and at least another 12 nj keepers that were released.

We will be fishing in ny till nov 15th and will return to nj for opening day, our schedule is up on the open boat forum as well as our facebook page.
