So glad I waited this season for the bite to happen as today made it all worth it!

Started out my morning with Morris (Moe), wishing me a Happy Birthday and presenting me with an awesome bottle of

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 year single malt!!! Moe also believes in Karma so when he landed the first bass of the fall at 24 pounds, I just smiled. That fish held on till the end of the day for the pool but was topped by one that went 26 pounds.

Morning started out with just a pick and very tough fishing with all the boat traffic. Very frustrating too say the least. We hung in there as long as we could till we had to find some moving water. Took a ride, got our butts kicked but the bite turned on! Henry lead the way with 10 fish, many guys with several fish by the end of the day. Gregg P, Bill V, Tom, Morris and several others had multiple hook ups & fish. Chris V landed a beauty at 22 pounds on his Noodle rod at the end of the day.....hard work & and hanging in there payed off!

Jigs worked best with an almost 3 knot float! Tails, Plain & Hammered jigs were the ticket........Don't let the weather reports scare you, IT'S STRIPER TIME!!  Best Birthday present I could ever get sharing this day with many who have fished with me for years, then, coming home to my Bride making me Zuppa Da Pece for dinner. Single Malt, a good cigar, Life is good my friends!!!!!!!
