Seabass, blues , fluke

by Capt Ted White 26 July 2015

The past couple weeks we have been doing mostly combo trips of seabass and blues. We spent the mornings getting out limit of seabass and some ling then went off to some local lumps to troll small blues.
We also have been catching the small blues jigging once the sun goes down.
The seabass season ends Friday, so it will be fluke and blues for the inshore stuff and tuna for offshore.
We did our first fluke trip today and if today was an indicator of the rest of the season, it looks good. The keepers we had today were all over 20", and enough shorts to keep us busy.
Last year the bigger blues showed up the first week of August, lets hope they do the same. The night fishing was pretty good.
