Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing October 2

Made both morning and afternoon trips fro porgies again today and a lot of people missed a real nice day. On the morning trip we made a few drifts and picked at the porgies. We decided to anchor up a reading and we picked for the rest of the trip. We ended up with our best catch this season. Everyone caught dinner and most had dinner plus. On the afternoon trip we went back to the same area. We had some wind and current so we went right to the anchor. We only made one drop and we picked all afternoon. Again everyone went  home with a porgy dinner. There are a few new pictures in the gallery from today. The weather for tomorrow is for easterly winds gust to 30 and rain so we will not be fishing. As of now the forecast for Friday is for more strong winds. If they are right we will now be fishing. We will have to see what the weather is. You can check the weather buoy on my home page. When the weather improves we will be back on schedule making two half day trips everyday for porgies (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone then.
