Saturday's Hi-Mar Striper Club Fishing Flea Market got a break in the weather, and drew a good crowd looking for bargains and taking in the seminars. The next Hi-Mar event is their annual Spring Striped bass Tournament which is set for Saturday, May 16 from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entry fee is $125 a boat. The two-fish total contest will be run out of Bahrs Landing, Highlands -- where the captains meeting will be held at 7 p.m.. Friday, May 15. With wind gusts up to 60 mph predicted for Sunday, there was no need to wait for any last minute fishing reports. The forecast of the windy weather starting by mid-morning Saturday was enough to cause the Ocean Explorer from Belmar to cancel that day's trip.
