1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

Bad weather today resulted in lots of cancellations, but many boats will be back at it on Wednesday. There may have been some surf action as Betty & Nick's in Seaside Park reported the northeast wind wasn't as bad as expected. They also noted that there was a striper blitz at Gillikin's in Island Beach State Park the previous afternoon as school bass were chasing peanut bunkers onto the beach. The Jamaica from Brielle has openings on the Wednesday 10 p.m. trip to far offshore wrecks for jumbo sea bass -- and also on the Saturday night sailing. Call 732 528-5014 for reservations. Mark Roy reports Chris Mahon of Mountainside boated an 11.5-pound blackfish while fishing with Len Fantasia on his Wave Dancer from Atlantic Highlands. Bill Strehl of Leonardo added a 6-pounder, as the crew ended up with 15 keepers.
