Capt. Ryan Bogan said there were many fluke limits for jiggers during today's weekly all-day trip of the Jamaica II from Brielle in perfect conditions-- and a new monthly pool winner was boated. Ironically, the previous monthly leader, Eric Slonaker, was aboard and had a limit himself. However Chris Molinari had the hot hand, catching 10 fluke over 3 1/2 pounds in the course of limiting -- and one was a 9.3-pounder that knocked off Slonaker's season-leading 7.5-pounder. There was also good news on the bluefish front as pee-wees cooperated for jiggers on Shore party boats.  The Jamaica from Brielle had limits for all plus some bonito and even small little tunny. Zach Milne of Wall took the pool with a 5-pound bonito. A 14.55-pound fluke was weighed in at Fisherman's Headquarters in Ship Bottom today, but unfortunately it was speared -- an ignominious end for a prized doormat. Bob Matthews, at Fisherman's Den in Belmar Marina, reports lots of short fluke for his rental boats in Shark River. but Brian Siedinger of Little Silver had a 5 3/4-pounder and Art Coakley from Neptune boated a 4 1/2-pounder. Capt. Dave Bender, of Jenny Lee from Manasquan said he and Capt. Jimmy Gahm took Matt and Jeff Lance from Coopersburg, Pa. out for blurfin tuna trolling. They got a double hook-up, but Jeff's was cut off by another boat. Matt boated a bluefin over 80 pounds.   Capt. Jim McFarland of Big Mac from Green harbor Ma. said he's been loading up on whiting and redfish. The Willie Chalmers party from Manalapan had over 100 whiting and three totes of reds, while "Big Papa" from Newark had a similar catch plus a 256-pound porbeagle shark. I was very tired when I wrote last night's blog and had two first names wrong. It was Capt. Steve (not Stan), and Guy Talarico -- not Vito. I then had a tough time getting up this morning and the sun was well up before I got to the Bay Head surf. Conditions were good, but I only caught one short fluke on Gulp.
