Following are the official results from Saturday's Raritan Bay Anglers Charity Fluke Tournament as supplied by Al Hrehowsik: "The Raritan Bay Anglers Club held its 24th Annual Charity Fluke Tournament out of Perth Amboy's Harborside Marina on Saturday July 19,2014 Here are the list of winners and higlights of our event. The club would like to thank Mayor Wilda Diaz for the support we receive from the many departments in The City of Perth Amboy. The Mayor also told club members that the marina rebuilding project is on its way to being complete and will make it one of the best in the area. First Place went to Jim Risi of Bridgewater who fished with Ray Hermes of Matawan on his boat, along with Jayme Yuhasz of Fords and Brian Hermes of South Amboy. Jim caught his 10.35 pound fluke at 7:15 in the morning in the area known as between the channels on a double large stip of squid. They were the first boat of the day to arrive at our weigh in station at 9:08 AM. It was one of the earliest weigh-ins in a long time. This crew also had four good sized keepers and a lot of action with short fish. First place paid $2774.00 Second place went to Kevin Meyerhoff of Monmouth Beach who fished with Charlie Parker of Oceanport on his "Sienna Lynn" along with Dave Lilly of Hazlet. Kevin caught his 9.32 pound fluke on a bucktail in Ambrose Channel. The crew also reported 8 other keepers to 7 plus pounds. Second place paid $1265.00 Third place was won by John Contello Sr. of Hazlet who fished with Capt. Mario Fabrio on the Boat Down Deep along with "Johnny Bucktails".  John Sr.'s 9.11 pound fluke was caught on a bucktail in Ambrose Channel. The total catch was a 3-man limit of fluke.  Third place paid $816.00. Fourth Place went to Mike Rickley of Succasunna who fished on Anthony Poggio's boat Carly-Lynn along with Kelley Poggio of Lebanon. Mike's 8.29 pound fluke was caught in Ambrose Channel on a bucktail. Fourth place paid $530.00. The club would like to thank all the contestants for the courtesy and sportsmanship they display each and every year. Some others that weighed in were Mike Donahue of Keyport,7.90 lbs.; Mike Ramirez of Matawan, 7.73 lbs.;and Pete Schroek of Iselin, 6.43 lbs."
