Nice start to the day with a good drift and okay action with a mix of shorts and keepers. Did not stay nice for long as the southerly wind picked up quickly and blew hard for the rest of the day slowing down the bite everywhere. The guys and gals fished hard and managed some fish for the coolers but not enough to go around today. Nelson Mendoza, Kinnelon, NJ, took the pool. Less wind in the forecast tomorrow is what we will be hoping to see.
