1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

08/23/14 With the gusty east wind the past couple of days along with an outgoing tide, finding a drift has been difficult to say the least. As a result finding keepers the past couple of days has been a challenge as well. We have had most of our fish early in the mornings with short action and a couple of handfuls of keepers each day. The guys working the spros/gulps hard have had the bulk of our keepers recently. John Vanderstad, Pompton Lakes, NJ, worked all day and took the pool with one of his three keepers. The winds are supposed to die down tonight so we will be looking to get back to where we had been fishing before the blow for more of the nicer fish we had been catching. See you in the morning.
