8.3 POUND POOL WINNER!!! A day that was supposed to be 5-10 kts turned out windier than yesterday!! Had a lack of drift with wind against the tide for a good part of the day in a carbon copy of yesterday. Managed to scratch a few shorts and an occasional keeper on each stop until the conditions finally changed mid day. Pretty decent short action with a few keepers mixed in on each drift for the last part of the day in tough conditions. The guys working the spros/gulps hard ended up with the bulk of the keepers on the day. Bob Wostasek, Oakland, NJ, took the pool with an 8 pound 3 ounce BEAUTY!! The fish broke Bob's leader the first time he hooked it. We repeated the same drift a little later and he hooked the identical fish again as it had his first hook and leader in its mouth and stomach when we boated it!!!! What are the odds??? He should probably buy a lottery ticket tonight for sure!!! See you in the morning.
