07/26/14 9.2 POUND POOL WINNER TODAY! Well, after a very slow day on the fluke grounds yesterday the fishing bounced right back to the fishing we have been seeing recently. Most of the keepers were once again QUALITY fish that did not need to be measured and enough short action mixed in to keep the guys busy. Fished the same areas that we have been recently and had NICE fish on just about every drift most of the day. A couple of the guys, including John Vanderstad, Pompton Lakes, NJ, just missed their limits and most of the folks had fish to take home. A VERY NICE change from yesterday for sure!! Mike Scher, Cranford, NJ, was happy with his catch that included a 5 pound 4 ounce fish and the 9 pound 2 ounce pool winner!! Spros/ gulps and natural baits all produced once again. See you inthe morning.
