14 POUND 9 OUNCE MEGA-MAT CAUGHT TODAY!!!!! EB II BIGGEST FLUKE EVER!!!
We had a good bunch of mostly regulars aboard today. It was, unfortunately, the slowest day we have had in some time. There were good drifting conditions much of the day in a few different areas but the guys and gals only had a few quality keepers everywhere we stopped with only a handful of shorts. The couple of areas that have been giving up a bunch of big fish lately came through for us once again today, however. Early this morning EB II regular Ted Kogut, Shillington, PA., hooked and landed his fluke of a lifetime!! Using a spinning rod with a spro rig and 12 pound test power pro Ted got the fish to the boat and into the net without a hitch!! 14 POUNDS 9 OUNCES AND 33 INCHES LONG--WOW!!!!! Ted fishes with his friend Bill almost every week of the fluke season and the EB II biggest fluke ever could not have gone to a nicer person!! CONGRATULATIONS TED!!!! Not to be forgotten, Jimmy Iannielli, Rockaway Township, NJ, had an 8 pound 5 ounce beauty of his own. Art Sevret, Rockaway Township, NJ, had a nice 5 pound 3 ounce fish also. I do not know if we can top that fish but we will certainly try tomorrow. See you in the morning.
