THIRD 7+ POUND WINNER IN A ROW!! Basically a carbon copy of yesterday. Fished same general area again and had a couple of good drifts with big fish until the current changed and we lost the movement. Used the engines and put some more keepers in the coolers until the bite finally shut off. Left the area and picked at a mix of shorts and keepers the rest of the day. Jim Lohse, Union, NJ, has been on a tear with big fish this year and struck again today! He put the first keeper--the 7 pound 13 ounce pool winner--in the boat literally within a minute of starting our first drift of the day!! He later added a 5 pound 14 ounce fish to his cooler as well. Tony "THE FLUKEMAN" Satus, Old Bridge, NJ, ended up with three keepers for the day which included fish of 6 pounds 13 ounces and 4 pounds 8 ounces. Bill Yu, Palisades Park, NJ, had three keepers up to 5 pounds 7 ounces. Gulps and bucktails had the edge over natural baits the past couple of days. Great weather next few days so come out and enjoy it! See you in the morning. |
