The 2014 fluke opener turned out nicely for the nice gang we had onboard today with AL WARANIS BAGGING THE FIRST NJ PARTY BOAT LIMIT BY 11 AM!!! NICE WORK AL!! We arrived at the usual opening day grounds and got a good shot of fish on a couple of drifts before the action died after the arrival of the rest of the boats. Left the late comers and moved on to a different area where we had steady fishing with more keepers than shorts the rest of the day. Greg Barnett, Trenton, NJ and Wayne Pinder, Red Bank, NJ, ended the day with four keepers each, Jim Lohse, Union, NJ had three and there were a bunch of other keepers spread around the boat. Rich Daniels, Phillipsburg, NJ, took the pool with a 4 pound 7 ounce fish. 6 AM SAIL AGAIN TOMORROW! PICTURES WILL BE POSTED ON SUNDAY
