SATURDAY:  Sailed open boat this morning, don't ask as I am still fuming, with a small group of anglers. Had good fishing on the 1st drift with Bill Fisher aka Billfish hauling in a hefty 8.5 lb fluke. Not long after that, Victor Ranawat brought his 5.8 lb fluke onto the deck. Thought we were in for some red hot fishing, but things slowed down for the rest of the morning with a few more keepers and some short action. It was a nice day, a bit chilly, but no rain, calm seas and decent fishing, a day even a of NY novice would have enjoyed.  The afternoon we had a charter with Firstrade Securities of NY and 41 of the 50 anglers showed up ready to go fishing, not hampered by the forecast of rain or wind. We had a decent afternoon until the wind picked up in late afternoon and conditions were less than favorable, but we managed a few keepers and a bit of sashimi for those aboard.
