The water temp. dropped 4 degrees where we have been Mahi fishing and it did affect the catch. We had 70 Mahi (3 to 8 Â lbs), 3 Longfin 25 to 35 lbs), and 30 Yellowfin (most were 60 to 70 lbs but we did have some 15 to 20 lb fish mixed in). We saw another whale shark this trip, not sure if it was the same one but that being only the 4th one I ever saw I would think it was.Â
