1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

7/7/14: The fourth of July week was definitely not one of our best. In fact, it might be a new record, one of the worst! Oh well, it's water under the boat, maybe next year. The fishing was a bit off or as we say, "a little slow" this past week. The water was so green! Plus cold on the bottom, made the fish very sluggish and the bite not so good. NOW, after Arthur went by us, and things calmed down, on Sunday the bite was back on! What a difference. Here are some of the lucky ones last week: Dennis Specht of Ship Bottom, NJ won with a 3-lb fluke, and Tim Gibney of Brant Beach, NJ also won with a nice 4-lber. Mike Villanova of Waretown, NJ won with a 3-lb flattie and Frank of New Egypt, NJ won with a 2.5-lb sea bass. On Sunday, Wayne Smith of Willingboro, NJ won with a nice 6.25-lber and is our new tournament leader! On Saturday evening we had a special cruise. The weather was perfect, and it was "Mackie" Pines 90th birthday! Her family set up a sunset cruise in her honor and it was wonderful! Thanks, Steve, for letting us help you for such a special event! On Thursday, 7/10/14, we will be starting our two 4-hour fishing trips daily. Still leaving the dock at 8 am, returning around 12, then going back out at 1 pm, and returning around 5 pm. We will continue this schedule until Labor Day. Remember, if you would like to sail both trips with us, the second trip is half priced. Hope to sea you there! Gina
