Pregame Show
The fishing this week has been absolutely terrific! We are catching a ton of fish and a few anglers have been very successful with the keeper ratio. While bait dragging produced just as many fish as jigging, it was the bucktail guys who caught more keepers yesterday. Time will tell if today will be a jig fisherman’s dream.

Conditions
For the fourth day in a row the conditions will be PERFECT to start the day with the west wind and outgoing water working together to make it paradise for the fluker!

July Flukemaster Classic Update
We had a $120.00 jump in the pot this morning, and it now stands at $790.00. Bill Burns is the leader with a 5 lb 10 oz fluke.

First Drift
The opening drift has been good all week and it continued here today. Steve Kerry got us going with the first keeper of the day. High hook put 3 fish in the cooler and there were a few with two and one keeper.

Second Drift
Made a slight shift for this one which didn’t pay off. Jumping back to the start of the first one.

Third Drift
There is a new leader in the monthly pool. Laura Berg just landed a 5 lb 15 oz fluke which is good enough to take the top spot. . . Caught them well on this one until the breeze dropped out. Since then it has been a slow pick. Roy Rosimini put his fourth keeper in the box.

Fourth Drift
All drifting conditions have been lost. The breeze crapped out with the current. We just got the first of the flood tide, and move in extremely slow.  Despite that, we are still picking at the fluke. Would I consider it good right now? No, but it is what it is. The fish are here. We know it, but at the moment are kind of handcuffed with the conditions.

Fifth Drift
We are still picking away at the fluke. Mark Margolies caught a 6 pounder on this one, and John Changiola put his 4th keeper in his cooler. The wind just shifted and is now coming out of the south, which will give us better drifting conditions.

Sixth Drift
BOOM! Another lead change in the monthly pool. Paul Alesi just knocked Laura Berg off the board before the ink was dry with 7 lb 1 oz fish.

We are having a nice little  Wednesday. Unfortunately, not everyone is having such a nice time with the keeper ratio. While some anglers have caught over 20 fish including a few keepers, others caught 20 and 30 fish and had nothing to show for it. There has been no noticeable difference between bait or jigs. Proof being, two of the anglers who are high hook are using two different techniques. One is dragging bait, while the other is jigging.

Postgame
We had another good day of fishing. Three people were tied for high hook with 4 keepers, and there were some baby beasts caught as well. We did see a lull in the action when we lost the wind on the tide change, but overall it was not a bad day. The keeper ratio was kind for some and not so kind for others. While some anglers caught over 20 fish including a few keepers, others caught 20 and 30 fish and had nothing to show for it.
