Pregame Show
We caught the fluke well yesterday during the first half of the trip. Today is a different day. The wind is cranking out of the northwest which is going to make it very difficult to fish where we were yesterday. With that in mind, we are going to try a few local spots first before marching on. Maybe we hit the motherload. We will soon find out. . . On a side note, our monthly pool has crossed the “Cool G” barrier! It now stands at $1,010.00. Carmine Patulllo is the leader with a 8lb 4oz fish.

It looks a lot like Kennedy Airport up in the bow today.

Conditions
We will have incoming water for the majority of today’s trip. We will see a tide change, but that will be late in the day. The wind is cranking out of the NW around 20 kts.

May/June Flukemaster Classic Update
Carmine Patullo is the new leader with a 8lb 4oz fluke. The pot now stands at $1,010.00.

First Drift
BOOM BOOM POW!! For the second day in a row a baby beast comes up before the opening speech was completed. John Bottles the angler and it weighed 5 1/2 pounds. There were a couple of other keepers caught as well. .  . The hard northwest wind is pushing us out against the current.

Second Drift
Another BOOM BOOM POW!!! George Doll, who was knocked off the leader board in the monthly pool last Friday, came here on a mission to reclaim the throne! George just landed a 7 lb 6 oz fluke, short of monthly fish, but a statement that he is not here to play games!

Third Drift
Not much on this one. We are going to blast off and head to the north. Other than the big fish and a couple other keepers, we did not see much here.

Joe Mattis is Hulking out! Things are getting serious on The Captain John today! Fluking is no joke!

Fourth Drift
Made this one in shallow water to our north. We did catch a few fish. Luckily the ratio is very good so far today. The few that we are catching each drift are going in the coolers.

Fifth Drift
Things have quieted down. Only a few fish on this one. Time to search.

Sixth Drift
Much like yesterday the fishing has slowed toward the end of the tide. We are going to change the area.

Seventh Drift – MID DRIFT ALERT
BOOM!!!! There may be a new leader in the Flukemaster Pool!!! We just landed a beast! Going on the scale in moments. . .

You can exhale Carmine Patullo. You survived by 2 ounces. . .  Just when you thought our day was turning into a dud, BOOM, big fish galore!!!! Roy started us off with the first beast which weighed 8lb 2oz, only 2 ounces short of the monthly leader. George Doll followed with another good fish weighing over 6 pounds, and Carl Bertram put back to back 5 + pounders in his cooler. Yup, we are running back up to make this drift again.

Eighth Drift
Wow!! Another beast!! This time it’s Pete Swolek. Pete just put a 7lb 5oz fluke in the boat using a Spro.

Postgame Show
Another day with big fish. Wow! We had the 8lb 2oz fish. Two fish over 7 pounds and multiple 6 pounders. The fishing itself was not great, but the quality of fish that came over the rail was.
