1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

Nothing has changed since the last reports - weather is still miserable with more trips cancelled than we get in - but the fishing is amazing.

In the last four trips - yesterday to today and Thursday to Friday of last week the Canyon Runner boats caught 7 more big-eye and 75 yellowfin. We are still fishing out of the Canyon Club in Cape May and the fishing is still right there in the Washington as everyone knows. On Thursday to Friday Lou Ottrantdo with Capt. Deane caught two big-eyes in teh 200-225 pound class and the 60 Ritchie wiht Capt. Mark had 20 yellowfin. Today the boats are coming back with 5 big-eyes total and 50 yellowfin with Capt. Mark on the 60 Ritchie with the James Fiore charter nailing 3 big-eyes and an open boat charter on the 48 Canyon Runner nailing 2 big-eyes. One of the 60's big-eyes is pushing 260# and they are weighing it right now.

The big-eyes are coming from the deep of the Washington Canyon and interestingly yesterday we only caught 1 of the 50 yellowfin on the troll - 49 of them came on the chunk.
