11-28-14    The wind was howling out there today,,,still the ocean was nice with the wind having enough west into it to keep it nice inshore where we were fishing...The bite was good overall I thought,,,high hooks had limits plus,,actually Chris had almost three limits of keeper togs,,,courtesy of his fish some people went home with dinner who did not catch today..You can see some pics below but a few things to keep in mind....The guys who caught were not in one section of the boat.........,we had fish everywhere today,,,maybe one side of the bow was better but the sides had limits to..........next,,,,,,light leader,,,light leader ,,,,light leader,,,,I tell guys this all the time,,,,80 lb.flourocarbon,,,60 etc....might work sometimes,,,but on my boat and the spots I fish if you want to be consistent you have got to be ready to downsize,,,,Top producers always have different size leader ready to go....Keep it simple to,,,I am not a fan of jewerely,,big swivels etc....also if your not getting a bite reel it up and change the bait,,,,also crunch the crab with your foot...it helps alot to draw bites when they other wise wont touch the bait...also cast it and move it around to different areas,,,alot of times I see everyone fishing straight down when they can cast out and find the bite....I could keep going on but I like to keep pointing these things out cause I get guys all the time that come out and wonder why they dont catch, and some guys do..Things like I just pointed out are some of them,,,the list goes on and on but,,,,,but,,,,some days your just in a slump,,,,no getting around it...enough rambling,,,pics
