7-30-14 The ocean was pretty much as nice as it gets...Warm,,water temps around 72-73 degrees...Flat calm...no wind and crystal clear water..We actually had mahi-mahi swimming around the boat,,,a couple of small mako sharks also came by to check us out...We started out in areas that we have been doing good this morning but the life was very dull..Only a few keepers and a few shorts the first couple of drifts....Eventually we got into an area that held some nice fluke and we started picking at some nice fish. Linden had the biggest of the day that went 9lbs and took the five dollar pool....Ralphy had the next biggest about 5-6lbs.and took the ten...Ralphy also had his limit of all nice fish...Some guys had 2-3 keepers,,,some just one and maybe some sea bass or ling...But it seemed limited to certain guys today,,,,some guys were just hot and some were not for some reason...Like I never see that,,,but anyway it was a nice day and we had some guys do good and we got into some nice fish,,,,,I just wish I could of had more guys do better.Check out some pics....Most of the nice fish were caught jigging,,,but I did see some nice ones on the rental rods again...See ya for coffee tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!
