We had Jeff, Chuck, Shawn, Traci, Terry, and Pat aboard today for an open boat charter.  Early reports had the fleet looking for
stripers, so with fairly smooth seas we elected to blast offshore to look for sea bass for two hours, and then return to the beach
to look for stripers.  Sea bass fishing was good, and by 1100am or so we had put together a nice catch of quality sea bass for
dinner.  So, we decided to run back towards the beach to try and find the stripers.  With the light southwest winds, the bait had
broken up and the fish had scattered, so we trolled for a short bit on a couple spots and without much bite headed for the barn
with a nice box of sea bass!  Thanks guys! Beautiful day!

We decided to steer clear of the inevitably large crowds on the striper grounds today and head offshore for sea bass.  Fishing
was excellent, with a boat limit of quality sea bass going in the box for Adam Rizzo and his annual Black Friday charter!  Thanks
guys and can't wait to get back out tomorrow!

Happy Thanksgiving!  We had Shawn, Traci, Bob, Terry, Tom, and Mark aboard today for an open boat striper trip.  As has
been the case, locating the bite with the constantly moving fish was a challenge early on, but we eventually located them and
had a decent bite getting 11 hook ups in a couple hours and putting 6 fish in the boat to 45".  We pulled the hooks on a few
today, including a couple about 10 feet from the gaff.  Great morning, guys!  Thank you!

November 25, 2015

We had a couple of striper trips on the books today.  Our morning charter had Chet Zaremski and company aboard.  The
morning started out slow, but around 1030am we found a nice school of big stripers and the guys finished the trip with a great
trolling bite and non-stop action.  We boxed a limit of 28-43s and tossed a couple back, too.  Great day!

The afternoon, we had Ann Galonis and her trip aboard.  Unfortunately, the bite from the morning dried up and the fish never
decided to eat for us again.  We did get one nice fish about 20lbs., but despite searching several areas and finding acres of
bunker, we just couldn't dial them in again in the afternoon.  Back at it tomorrow morning!

Rich Knowski and his charter were aboard today looking for stripers!  We trolled for most of the morning without much luck, but
around lunch time the fish showed up in a big way with an epic blitz to finish off the trip!  We had drop and lock trolling with
multiple hook ups at a time and non-stop action for the last hour of the trip.  We easily boxed our limit of 28-43s and released a
bunch of fish, as well!  AWESOME trip!

November 23, 2015

Rob, Lor, Daryl, Bill, Dave, and Pete were aboard today for a striper trip.  While the bite wasn't as hot and heavy as yesterday,
we found a nice pick of good fish around mid day and stayed with them for a couple of hours.  We had about 10 bites on the
troll today, with 7 making the box, all fish in the 36-42" range.  Good day, guys!  Thank you!

November 22, 2015

We took our first shot at striped bass today with Ed, TJ, Shawn, Traci, Greg, and Mike.  Fishing was excellent!  There was a
tremendous amount of bunker in front of Cape May, and it took a little while for the bite to develop, but once the stripers found
the bait the bite was ON with fast action on the troll and a limit of 28-43" fish going in the box and we also had an over fish of
45".  We also released several under 43" fish, as well.  What a day!  Thanks guys!

Hello all!  We have been getting out whenever the wind isn't blowing too bad.  Sea bass fishing has been excellent with limits
going in the box and some really nice fish in the mix!  Some big bluefish are also being caught with the sea bass.  Today, tog
opened and we gave them a shot on two stops in the morning.  It was a bit of a pick on the tog, and after boxing a handful of
nice fish and tossing back some shorts, we blasted off a little further as the wind laid down and got into some excellent sea bass
action and put a beautiful box of sea bass together along with some big bluefish.  Thanks very much and can't wait till the next
nice day!

Absolutely outstanding sea bass fishing today!  It just doesn't get any better than what we had today.  Quality keeper after
quality keeper with lots of doubles coming aboard today for a limit catch in short order.  With a couple dozen crabs aboard, we
went looking for our first tog of the fall and bagged a handful of keepers and released some shorts, too, before returning to
Harbor View to fillet a limit catch of beautiful sea bass and a handful of tog.  Awesome day, guys!

October 31, 2015

Happy Halloween!  Excellent sea bass fishing today for the guys aboard.  Shawn, Traci, Bill, Bill, Jeff, and Robert slammed nice
sea bass and a bunch of small bluefish throughout the trip.  We limited out easily and headed for the barn with a cooler full of
fish to clean!  Hope this fishing continues!

October 22, 2015

Finally!  We were able to do some fishing!  Sea bass fishing was good today with lots of fish for Shawn, Traci, TJ, and Clyde.
We limited out plus threw a lot of shorts back and also in the mix were bluefish, porgies, some fluke(released), and mackerel.  A
great way to start the fall season!  Thanks guys!  Looks like a couple days of breezy conditions, but hoping to get back out
Sunday!  Stay tuned!

Getting ready for the sea bass opener on October 22nd!  Just a few seats left this fall, but plenty of openings through January
and in to February.  Give us a call to make your reservations!

October 6, 2015

Hello all!  We pulled the boat for this big nor'easter and we are glad we did!  It got really nasty for several days with 40 to 50
MPH plus winds and really big tides!  Anyway, the boat is high and dry and we've begun to get all our maintenance and prep
work done for the fall season which commences on October 22nd with the sea bass opener!  Our fall dates are becoming
limited, so check our sailing schedule and get aboard for your dates!  Also, don't forget we will be sailing through January and
through February until Old Man Winter says we are done...so make your reservations today for trophy tog season!  Thanks and
see you soon!

September 22, 2015

Well, fluke season is unofficially over as we have a week long northeast blow underway that doesn't look like it's going to
subside any time soon.  Plenty of small fluke were around during the final fishable week of the season, but the keepers had to
be worked for.  We did have some nice fish to 6 pounds on a couple trips to finish up our season, and the number of big sea
bass around is encouraging for the sea bass opener on October 22nd.  We are booking trips through the fall.  Dates are filling
fast so please call or email soon to make your reservations.  We still have plenty of openings in January for our winter tog
season, too.  Hope to see you!

September 9th, 2015

We are continuing to fish for fluke until the close of the season on September 25.  15 to 17.5" fish are around in great numbers,
but we have really had to work for the keepers!  That said, we've been putting some nice fish in the box to 5 or 6 pounds over
the last few trips as we sort through the shorts to get the keeper fish.  Good action and lots of fun on jigs with our Jigging World
Black Demon rods!  Our fall calendar is filling fast, so please book your dates now!  Sea bass opens on October 22nd, and we
are really looking forward to it!

September 2nd, 2015

Been a busy couple weeks of fishing!  Fluke fishing remains good, but the throwbacks have dominated the catch over the last
few days.  We've got some nice fish, too, but lots of 15 to 17 inch fish are showing up on the grounds on the yearly exodus to
the deep water wintering grounds.  We've also been combating the tremendous algae bloom that has enveloped the entire
coast from Long Island to Virginia Beach.  This has made the water very green and cloudy instead of the clear blue water we
usually have this time of year.  All in all, plenty of action but you need to work for the keepers!  Don't forget...sea bass season
opens to 15 fish per person on October 22nd!  Book your seats today as they fill fast!

August 19th - Report for last few weeks

Hello everyone!  We've been busy fluke fishing, so I haven't had much chance to update our report section!  Fluke fishing
continues to be a roller coaster ride with good fishing mixed in with mediocre fishing.  The water temps have been fluctuating a
bit, but more importantly the water clarity has been varying greatly.  Some days, we have clear blue water with great visibility,
but other days it's cloudy green which makes it a little tough for the fluke to get on the feed when they can't see very well.  All in
all, we've had pretty decent fishing with very good action on shorts and some beautiful keepers in the mix.  We've had a couple
of outstanding days with big fish the last couple weeks...with Traci Genovese bagging the biggest fish of the season at 9.2lbs.,
and we've had several others in the 5 to 7 pound range and a few in the 8 pound class, too.  We had one particularly slow trip
which occurred yesterday.  The cause of such slow fishing?  A banana which was not thrown overboard when instructed to do
so by the captain.  Bananas are renowned for the bad fishing they bring to fishing boats, so I felt like I needed to make a public
service announcement on our site to please refrain from bringing bananas aboard.  If you'd like more information, just do a
search on this very topic and you'll get a plethora of information!  All other fruits are good...and in the islands they consider
pineapple to be good luck so feel free to bring as many of those as you'd like.  Thanks for reading and please check back for
another report soon!
