Hello everyone! We had James Cobb and company aboard today for their tog charter, and I had my boy Greg aboard to help with the anchors and such. These guys booked this date back in September, and although I advised to play it by year as the weather is less than cooperative many times in January, they said they had a good feeling and would stay with it. Well, James might be the new official trip booker as he picked a dandy! While it was pretty cold first thing this morning and we had to do some deicing on the Bomb, the winds were light and the seas were relatively calm this morning and laid out to completely flat this afternoon. We started out in an area we tried a week and a half ago, while we did box a few nice fish, it wasn't what it was last week. On the way out, we noticed the water temperature had increased since we were last out. So, we decided to run back a fuzz shallower and try some stuff closer to home. Well, boy were we glad we did! We stopped on a spot and had some of the most exceptional togging you could imagine with the size of the fish being absolutely fantastic! It was drop and reel mayhem with multiple big fish coming up at a time, and before we knew it were limited out and everyone was sweating and breathing heavy! Final tally...boat limit...size of fish...sick! We had eleven over 10lbs which we weighed in at Harbor View. Big thanks to Irene from Harbor View for meeting us at the fuel dock to weigh some of these boys and girls in. From "smallest" to biggest... 10.15, 10.35, 10.39, 10.63, 10.75, 11.25, 11.52, 11.56, 12.13, 12.65, 13.7 What a day and everyone had personal bests today! THANKS VERY
