A few days until the Warriors for Warriors Shark Tournament - we are taking out 3 Navy Seals including a SEAL Team 6 Commander and can't wait! Also the Awards Dinner Saturday night will have some amazing items raffled off including a once in a lifetime opportunity to have the opportunity to win an American Flag signed by Rob O'Neill, the SEAL who killed Bin Laden. I personally hope to bid on this – no idea how high it goes but hope we win the tournament just so I have money to cover this great piece of America.
The fact of the matter is we couldn't be happier to donate whatever we can to this great cause as the funds raised in the tournament are going to Operation Restore Warrior which has had an amazing success ratio. In addition to me and my Canyon Runner Team donating the 60’ Ritchie Howell for the day – Chris Wood from Woody’s in Sea Bright is donating the food and Wine Academy Superstores will be donating all the drinks.
Please consider joining the tournament if your boat is ready to go. The mako fishing is outstanding just to the south and several makos have come in already to Manasquan and Barnegat so it should be a great event.

We’ve finally got back out offshore after 9 days tied to the dock watch northeast winds. Capt. Deane Lambros is immediately back into the fish with 13 yellowfin caught in the first 2 hours. Hopefully the nice weather holds and we get a bunch of trips in the books as the fishing is as good as it gets right now. We are fishing out of Manasquan Inlet now so the yellowfin are indeed close by to you northern NJ boats so let’s get out there – we are all alone right now. The 60’ Canyon Runner left the dock at 11am today so they’ll hopefully join the action soon.
By the way, nine days at the dock gave Capt. Deane, Capt. Kevin and the rest of the crew plenty of time to rig up all our Canyon Runner tackle we sell on line at www.canyonrunner.com so instead of filling up our stocks IÂ’m going to run another 20% off sale to get them out the door quick. This way the guys have something to do next time the wind blows! (LetÂ’s hope thatÂ’s not until October).
So if you want to take advantage of the 20% off sale on Canyon Runner Spreader Bars or Dredges you need to call in your order to 732-842-6825 or email me at adam@canyonrunner.com
If you want a charter you might be out of luck – we only have a few days here and there until mid-September so please don’t wait any longer.
