1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

FEBRUARY 9, 2016

We were able to get out on Saturday to give togging a shot.  We fished from 20 to 30 miles from
Cape May, and found fishing to be very slow.  The water was cold with 39 degrees as far out as 10
miles and 42-44 degrees from 15-30 miles.  The best bite seems to be the further you get from the
Delaware Bay as the water flowing out of the bay is quite cold from all the snow runoff.  We are
planning to try one more time in a different area to see if we can find a better bite.  If we find that bite,
we'll continue to go on weather windows until the close of the season.  Stay tuned!
