1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

Guess I'll be first to report and see what happens....Way too much wind against the tide today to fish the channels, had to go in search mode hoping to find a bite. Found a Keeper and some shorts in the ocean on the first spot, water temp was 63. Kept working South along the Beach, water temp kept dropping to 59!! Finally found some life and slugged away on several drifts. Way more shorts than keepers. No limits and No 8 pound fish!!!

High hooks had 3 nice keepers each with Jack taking the pool with a beautiful 5 1/2 pound Fluke. Plenty of action while the bite lasted but I certainly don't consider 20 fish throw-backs a good day. Action, Yes. Dinner NO. Surprised we caught anything with the conditions today.

Back at it tomorrow with a better wind forecast!!
