Our last couple trips for fluke have been slow catching a few shorts and a few keepers on the hills and rough bottom. Chris Sosnowski of Brick had 2 keepers yesterday afternoon on a teaser rig using the squid and spearing combo. His biggest was 3.5 lbs. On Sunday morning's trip Matt Brown caught a 6.7 lber along with another keeper and a few shorts.

Our striper trips have been hit or miss, the big stripers are out there but they are not always easy to catch. Keep in mind fishing for these big stripers is like hunting for that 12 point buck in the woods. The reason these fish grew to be so big is because they are smart and wily. You have to use your best fishing skills to catch them from start to finish. You have to be patient when you get a pick up on your bait and you have to always make sure your drag is set right from the start. These big stripers should be around until the end of June and the Gambler will be ready to catch them in any that works on any given night. We are fishing for them Thursday- Saturday nights from 7:30- 12:30 and we have everything you need on board.
