1000's of NJ Saltwater Fishing Reports, Dozens of Sources, Maps, Wrecks, Historical Search

6/1/16: The sea bass season started out great, with a lot of limits and some really good trips. Not all were terrific, but if you fished more than one day, you could see the difference in the catch. It would vary from wreck to wreck also, some were slow and some were LOADED! A few pool winners were: Len Smith of Florence, NJ with a nice 4-lb sea bass; Bob Nolan (cotton Bob) also took the money with a 3.8-lber. Joe Schwing won with a 3-lb sea bass, Arty Hoyt of Manahawkin, NJ won with a nice 4-lber, Jim Cryan of Florence, NJ won with a nice 4.2-lb ling, and Don Smaligo of Bridgewater, NJ won with a 3.5-lb sea bass.

We have until June 19 to catch these delicious fish. We can see a dropoff in the amount of fish caught happening already (hey, we have to be honest here), but everyone is still going home with dinner and some with a little bit more. We will continue sailing everyday for sea bass until June 20, then we start for the flatties! Hope to see you there!
