The date for the Canyon Runner Seminar at Atlantic City in last night's blog was wrong as I took it from an old release. The actual date is Jan. 30.  The Atlantic City Boat Show will move into the Convention Center from Feb. 3 to 7. Though boat fishing has been shot down by the intense wind and cold, there's supposed to be less wind by Wednesday -- and Thursday may be quite fishable. Capt. Jimmy Elliott plans to fish for mackerel with the Golden Eagle out of Belmar that day. Bob Matthews, at Fisherman's Den in Belmar Marina, says there are still lots of sea herring in Shark River for those who want them. He's been working many days at the new Fisherman's Den North in Atlantic Highlands Harbor  -- which will be open in the spring.
