Captain's Focus

11/7/16: The weekend was kind of like this election! Fishing for keepers was slow, a lot of trash fish like sharks, and the wind on Sunday would not quit, and we are so tired of being regulated by the government, because a sea bass at 12.5 inches was good enough to keep this spring but yet this fall we have to throw it back, because they raised it to 13 inches! Basically we all have had enough of this foolishness.

It's actually nice out on the ocean just to get away! The fishing was very slow this weekend, but we have high hopes on the blackfishing. November 16 is when it returns to 6 fish per man! Also we are looking forward to those nice-size porgies. We only had a few this past weekend but they are still around. We only had a few keeper-size sea bass also, they are pretty much gone out of our area.

We will be sailing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until after Thanksgiving. Also on November 16, the opening of blackfish, we will be sailing.

Sorry, we are not sailing on Thanksgiving Day, but the day after is “Blackfish Friday”! Hope to see you there!
