Capt. Stan Zagleski reported the red hot bite yesterday wasn't repeated but blackfishing was still pretty good on his Elaine B. II from Bahrs in Highlands. There were a couple of limits, and others with four or five. Zagleski noted that everyone had at least a couple of keepers. The bite started out well at the same spot as yesterday, but got picky as the current increased. Mike Naipawer of Bloomingdale won the pool with a trophy 13-pound tautog. The first couple of mackerel were caught on bare hooks.
