Though it was nothing great, there was pick of blackfish available to anglers fishing from Belmar party boats on New Year's Day. The Ocean Explorer reported some limits even though there were other anglers with no keepers. The seasonal big pool is up to over $3,000.The Big Mohawk called their blackfishing "decent", and they'll be sailing at 7 a.m. Monday.
