Low Profile, running out of New Jersey, was out today along with all three Ocean City Charter Boats. Our NJ Boat opted to go Bluefin Chunking, getting an early start and anchoring on the 19 fathom lump up by about 4am. Capt Joe reported getting 3 bites in the early morning, and boating all 3 fish, which measured from 46 to 52 inches. Bites came on squid, and jigs and were all before 8:00am. Capt. DJ on THATS RIGHT and PRETTY WORK went the other direction and headed to towards the Poormans Canyon. They arrived started in about 40 fathoms and put out the usual spread of Sea Wich over Ballyhoo and Spreader Bars. By the end of the day THATS RIGHT had boated 11 nice yellowfin and a dolphin, while PRETTY WORK only manged 2 of 6 bites. They both worked from 37 to 55 fathoms. Capt. Todd on JUSTIFIED fished inshore of the Poormans and had 4 Yellowfin Bites, boating 2 and missing 2. Pretty slow going for the JUSTIFIED today, which has been putting together a lot of nice catches of late. The yellowfin tuna were all 45-55 pounds today.
