It was a very tough day tuna fishing today and believe me we were lucky to put 5 in the boat and release another undersized 6-7 ones. The same locations we fished on our last few trips up to the Spencer that produced double digit keeper Yellowfins up to 60 plus lbs just did not hold much bait or tuna for us and many of the boat we talked to. We caught our tuna between the Spencer and Wilmington in 500 feet of water after pounding the Spencer all morning with not one bite. At the end of the day I felt very fortunate to catch what we did will be back out at it again in about 6 hours so off to bed in a few minutes.
