The Golden Eagle from Belmar had very good sea bass fishing today, along with some fluke and ling. They will look for blues tomorrow if there are good reports. I didn't get any follow-up from the Jamaica out of Brielle after their bluefish hit to the south on Thursday.
Capt. Stan Zagleski didn't have a boat limit of fluke today on his Elaine B. II from Bahrs in Highlands, but the trip worked out very well for most -- especially Ken Peters. Zagleski's report follows:
Had a decent drift for a good part of the trip and the EB II Saturday regulars slugged away at a mix of quality fluke and sea bass in a couple of different areas today. Once again both artificials and natural baits put fish in the coolers. Most of the fluke were quality fish. Ken Peters, Springfield, NJ, was happy with his day as he had a five pound fish to go along with his 9 pound 7 ounce pool fish as well as a couple of big sea bass. It was his largest fluke ever. Nice fish Ken! Back at it again tomorrow 6:00 AM! See you in the morning.
