Despite a marginal forecast, 132 boats attempted to get a jump ahead in the White Marlin Open at Ocean City, Md. without much success as only a few fish were caught.  Slabjack leads for a potential $440,000 in tuna with a 57-pounder, ahead of a 55.5-pounder on Tale Chaser. Hog Wild boated a 55-pound wahoo, which has a better chance of holding up in the money than the tuna. One boater brought in a white marlin which made the legal length, but was short of the minimum weight. An angler on that boat said they fought six-foot seas before getting a freshwater washdown from rain at the weigh-in.
