Captain's Focus

After super fishing the past week and a half. Today I can say you should have been here yesterday, or the day before or the day before that, and so on. I looked over the areas we have been catching some fish on the incoming tide, and I did not like what I saw. I decided to take a ride as i know another location farther away has been producing some nicer fish feeding on bunker.. It was a little bit of a ride but I knew I had some time to kill, as our best fishing has been on the outgoing tide the past week. If the fishing was even half as good as its been we would have a good day. To make a long story short we did catch some fish in the first spot mixed in with the bunker but it was not as good as I hoped. We left that area and worked our way towards home. We made a few stops on the way and caught a few more Stripers. By now the tide was getting ready to change and I headed for what I hoped would be the day saver. Unfortunately we only caught two more fish there. I did a little more searching and came up empty so I headed for home. We will not be fishing tomorrow due to gale forced winds. But the winds are suppose to subside late tomorrow night. So Saturday looks like it will be much nicer. It will be cold but it is November. Thanks again to everyone who came out with us today. See you soon, Capt. Rob
